Porto de Galinhas is a coastal town in the north of Brazil very frequented by many tourists. In this post I tell you about diving in that destination.

Visiting Porto de Galinhas
Porto de Galinhas is a very popular summer place, a pleasant destination to rest on the beach and enjoy warm waters. It is known for its natural pools, which form when the tide goes out, allowing you to enjoy excellent snorkeling.

As for the dive sites, the best places are well away from the coast within an hour of sailing. Being in the open sea, the waves can be moved by for those who suffer from seasickness (like me) it is recommended to take a dramamine.

I share with you a video of the Tug Mars wreck(“Rebocador Marte” in Portuguese), one of the two shipwrecks found in the area. It is a deep dive (30 to 40m) so the immersion times do not exceed 40 minutes. I dived with Michel Russi from Aicá Diving. Hope you like it!
